We would like to welcome and thank each of you for considering the 2021 Wetzel County AutumnFest Pageant. You will love our pageant, the Festival, and your pageant family.

The Jr Miss, Teen, Mrs and Queen Pageant will be held Saturday, August 28th at Magnolia High School in New Martinsville, doors will open at 6:00 pm and the pageant will start at 6:30 pm. I am asking for Teen, Mrs and Queen contestants to arrive between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm for registration, Jr Miss contestants arrive no later than 2:30 pm Please have hair and makeup ready for the interview. We will have a short rehearsal for each age division. Interviews will start promptly at 3:30 pm beginning with Jr Miss.

We will be awarding congeniality, photogenic, and a Queen & 1st Runner Up in each

Division with the exception of Queen, we will have Queen & 1st through 4th Runner Up.

You will be judged on the following listed below:

Interview

The interview will be age-appropriate interview attire of your choice.

Intro and Promotions

Queen 16-21 contestants will need to prepare a 30-second commercial/jingle/rhyme about the Wetzel County Autumn Fest. This phase of the competition will not be timed. We trust that you will stick to the 30 seconds given.

I have posted on the Wetzel County Autumn Fest some events that will be at the festival.

Miss 16-21 You will be wearing your pageant T-shirt. Blue jeans (this can be shorts, capris and or pants) (no holes in jeans) and white tennis shoes of your choice.

This is our favorite part of the competition so please be creative and have fun with your promo.

Jr Miss, Teen, and Mrs you will do the intro in your cocktail attire.

Cocktail Wear

Cocktail Wear is pretty simple. You will need cocktail attire (dress, jumpsuits, etc) that reflects your personal style. Please again, remember to be age-appropriate.

Evening Gown

The evening gown is again pretty simple. Please remember to be age-appropriate.

Fishbowl Question

All contestants will be answering a fishbowl question while in an evening gown. The questions asked are typical pageant questions so please don’t stress.

The judges will be looking to see how well you handle being put on the spot as well as your public speaking skills.

Judging

The judges have been carefully selected to choose the new 2021 Royalty.

The point system is used for the judging..

Scores “will not” be given out but “we will” provide you with any comments that the judges may have left on your sheets if you request. (All judges’ decisions are final)

Just a couple of quick notes.

*If you were to win the title of 2021 Wetzel County AutumnFest Jr Miss, Teen, Mrs or Queen, she will not be able to compete for another 2021 Fairs and Festival title. If you have already won a title for 2021 you will only be able to promote and represent the Wetzel County Autumn Fest Title. If you have any questions at all please feel free to contact me.
